Andrea Fox to Head WPR Legal Department

Andrea Fox joined Washington Public Radio as the Chief and Executive Editor of its legal department in August 2012. She will write commentary, cover news stories, and other areas of interest.

She begins with a commentary about Julian Assange.

Biography

Andrea J. Utick Fox was born and raised in Helena, Montana. She attended the University of Montana in Missoula, earning a baccalaureate degree in History with a minor in Women’s Studies. She attended the University of Montana School of Law, performing her clinical internship with Montana Legal Services. Upon graduation Andrea was admitted to the Montana State Bar.

Andrea is passionate about providing compassionate, affordable and high quality legal services to her clients, a quality that makes her so vital for the work which Washington Public Radio is planning.

As an example, Andrea is a member of the Board of Directors of Helena Industries, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Helena that provides jobs and job training for disabled people. WPR will untertake a partentship with this organization and raise money for its work.

Ms. Fox is also Tom Manoff’s agent.

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys outdoor activities, sewing, cooking, and simply spending time with her husband Kevin, family, friends, and her (many) dogs.
